Tango Tipica

About Tango Tipica

Tango Tipica are Catherine & Wim – 'nom de danse': Catherine Dogaer and Wim Taghon.

Catherine & Wim are a young but experienced tango couple – they have been dancing Argentinean Tango for more than 10 years. Their dance style is shaped by the authentic tango of dancers such as Pepito and Suzuki Avellaneda and Carlos Copes.

They trained on the Continent with teachers Oliver & Marisa, Recuerdo, Claudia Codega & Esteban Moreno and Lalo & Mirta Diaz. They continue to explore different dance styles, attending workshops with internationally renowned teachers including Mingo & Esther Pugliese, Javier & Geraldine, Mel Ludman & Mariela Pandelo, Los Ocampos, Biki & Muzo, Rob & Inez, Natalia & Gabriel and others.

Their true passion remains the authentic 1940s Tango de Salon, Milonga and Tango Waltz.
